The base of the LockPort acts as a spacer so some plates & accessories will require a longer 1/4"-20 Camera Screw.

I just ordered one a couple of days ago, will report on it when it arrives. Anything has to be better than making a strain relief with gaffer tape.

Looks great! Very pricey for what it is, but maybe worth it for what it does. I'm curious to know if it inhibits the movement of the flip-out LCD.

Hopefully some cheap knock offs will show up on Alibaba or ebay. There's a seller on Alibaba that's selling a super thin micro hdmi to hdmi cable. Looks like a ribbon cable - 50CM Super Soft Shielded HDMI to Micro HDMI Conversion Cable (Suit for GH4 etc.)

To me this already seems a little silly, and that was before I looked at the price.
