I think this is really good. The best part is how its quiet in the beginning, then you break into the song. I think you did a great job! I subscribed to you on youtube.
@deltoidjohn thanks bro! yeah, i didnt have the text in the final video when i premiered it... it was the request of the performers that they wanted the text to be in there...
@Paunch thanks for watching... we shot it with the Panasonic DVX100B camera, i had a dolly on set and 5 work lights... it was just me and two of my buddies and my girlfriend who help out on grip work...
First of all the video takes way to long to start, 1:14 is Overkill. I would say the longest an intro for any video should be is no more than 30-40 seconds and that is with something interesting.
Second you see the widescreen matte on the bottom of the screen but not the top, what's up with that? At 2:07 when the dancers comes in you see the Matte Get shrink the screen even more, it looks pretty nasty how that jumped out at me.
2:11 Bottom left corner you see the Blanket/Sheet you used ruffle up and what seems like lift up from the wall, you need to fix that.
You see the same problem again at 2:19. It looks like your framing was off and you went to low, looks bad honestly. Also as stated the font you used for the "Pop Yo Colla" almost looks comical ( cartoon like ) another poor choice in my opinion.
4:38 when the second song drops I think the light blue bars works a lot better and actually looks pretty cool. Now back to the first main song you had some good performances, great energy, and a lot of people so that's a plus. IMO what would have made your video better is this
*Shorten/Speed up the intro
*Choose some different color bars for your video, white background + white bars did not look right for this video
* Next time use a better font ( if any at all )
* Be careful on your framing, the bottom of the screen looks nasty
Overall though pretty good video, minus the mistakes on your part.
