poor quality from gopro 9

Hello i have done my first shot with gopro 9. I was doing an interview, indoor, and i used the gopro as B camera (fuji xt3 is my A camera)
I am really disapponted from the poor quality, the video is very noisy, I can see kind of "trembling" areas in different part of the image
May be it was because not full light, but it was not so bad either, if gopro can't record good with that light that it is of no use for me
I have recorded in Cinematic 4k 25fps, standard bitrate
I show a piece of video

It's not youtube compression, it is just that bad, on youtube is even better, the second part of clip don't have the disturbing "trembling "effect
 
An abundance of light is best for them (like outside).

Still though...only will go so far with the small sensor and compression and overall mushy look.

Maybe watch other people's HERO9 videos on YT and see if they are getting better results with certain settings that you may like.
 
These action cams have tiny sensors and are intended for outdoors. You be better off with any normal camera
 
yes i can see it now. It was a present from christmas....so i tried to use in a interview enviroment..i am surprised that perform even worste than my "normale "smartphone in similar situation!
Yes i 'd better go for a camera, but i like the size and the quick of use..so it should be something like sony zv1 for example..or other alternative if any around. At least 1" sensor that can give me better performances, and perhaps a good range lens!
 
I believe the GoPro uses around 1/3" sensor so even a 1" camcorder or similar camera would be 3x larger. In addition to the sensor, it's highly compressed and lots of noise reduction used that leads to soft unnatural look.

They still have their place. Seen them used with great results in car interviews. For the right application they are fine for what they are.

yes oi believe that lots of artifact are there because of sw processing...surely a 1" would be muche better
Any suggestion othe than zv1?
