F35: Poor man's cheeseplate

Hi guys,

I've just had a minor breakthrough in my rigging adventures with the F35. A cheap and cheerful cheeseplate for the assistant's side of the camera:

I found that by removing the little NATO-style rails and the spirit level from the top of the camera (then plugging the hole left by the spirit level with a coin and some plumbers tape), I was then able to screw in a Berkey Systems part that I had left over from my old F3. This part here: http://store.berkeysystem.com/sony-pmw-f3-top-mount-accessory-extension-plate/

For anyone who's struggling with getting some mounting points onto the camera (as I have been) I thought this might help.

Cheers,

Mark

Have anyone seen a accessory that fits in the actual "accessory pockets" on the side of the camera in combination with the screwholes in front near the air intake?

it does says its for accessories in the manual but with no example, and cant find anything at all on the net about it.

There is a sort of accessory plate or cheese plate, although it seems thinner than your ordinary cheese plate, which goes on the side of the F35 and fits to the ports you are talking about. Similar to the one available for the F65. But I'm not sure if it's an official Sony part or after market.
