Poor Mans Anamorphic Lense

Looks good. How did you pull it off? 2 camera's? One camera but recorded same scene with different framing twice?
 
so is it two cameras? second shot is the least noticeable as far as where the shot is split at. overall good job and interesting concept... think how hard this would be for moving shots. you would have to have some sort of locked off double tripod deal
 
Just one camera on a tripod. Shot at 2 different angles and spliced together in AE.
