For the scene with the two guys talking...

I would pick a different location simply from a belief standpoint. When are two guys hanging out in middle class suburbia with an inground swimming pool, when one of them forces scripture on to his friend and the friend pulls out a gun? I don't buy it. They should be in the ghetto or anywhere else, really.

That was a huge Bible. It seems more likely someone would carry a pocket New Testament, like a Gideons Bible, more often than a reference Bible. Just a thought. Without knowing some of the background it is impossible to know where they are coming from, and perhaps the larger text fits your story better, I simply don't know enough to say. I would encourage a smaller, more mobile, copy of the Holy Word.
The gun wasn't convincing enough and removes yet another layer of belief. Perhaps you may find a weapons wrangler who is willing to help out. Airsoft guns would be a better choice, but would cost you around $100 and they tend to jam easily. However, if weapons are a large part of your script, I feel it would be worth the investment. Maybe one of your actors would be willing to fit the bill.
I am almost surprised if you are financing this entire project yourself. I occasionally volunteer as a documentary cinematographer on overseas missions trips and I have never had any trouble raising support for my expenses. I would think you would find there are 'wealthy' Christian business owners who would be willing to support your cause. Maybe you could even make some money off the deal? I don't know, but it IS worth considering... However, that isn't much of a possibility if you intend on starting next week.
I think what everyone has been trying to tell you, if I may be so bold to speak for others, is your movie will be much better if you can wait a little longer and assemble more resources. It's simple to explain to actors that you maybe feel a little in over your head and because you believe in the project, you are going to postpone it. They will understand. Honest.
Think of it this way: Okay, summer is over in six weeks, and maybe you could squeeze in a shoot, but you still have months of editing ahead of you. You only get your actors once, and seeing as they are professional SAG actors, you want to leave the best possible impression on them.Word gets around in this business.
If you really care about making the best movie from your script, then wait. I know you will not wait because you are anxious... But, you only get to one chance to make this particular script. If it is your best so far, then you will see the value in waiting. I stick to this principle myself. I imagine many others here do as well. Eventually, you have to make do with the resources at hand, but, waiting has never been a bad thing, in my experience. Years of planning and pre-production will only improve a project, never ruin one.
