Rolling shutter abound, but to be expected. I had little or no stability and put some nasty movement into the edit.

Good pictures shame about the shake

I liked the subjects espaily the low DOF examples but you need to get the Shake undercontrol. have you tried deshaker yet? it can do a decent job of sort out those problems in post untill you can afford a stablisating rig of some desciption.

Does that work similarly to Smoothcam in Final Cut? I've used that before. Thanks for the recommendation!

I have a Bogen 519 on Miller legs, I just didn't wanna haul it around that day. This was just test footage that I liked enough to share. Since buying the D7000 last October, I've been shooting mostly stills.

What I'm most interested in buying first and foremost is either an LCD monitor or an optical viewfinder.

Bleh, that plugin requires a ton of tweaking to get right...otherwise, it produces odd anomalies of its own in the footage. It doesn't help that it creates ginormous files, too. Maybe I just need a better codec. I'm currently using Huffyuv.

In limited doses, it seems very useful, but I'm not that worried about this footage anyway. It was a disposable project.
