I just recently started using the evf as a black and white monitor and have found that to be far more useful when judging focus and exposure. I still attempt to use the lcd for color (as best I can). I was just wondering if many people felt the same way.
I never adjust exposure by eye, that's just a bad idea. I have no problems focusing with the color evf, peaking makes it easy. The waveform on the 170 is its greatest feature, makes exposing a breeze.
yeah, that must be nice. I need to do a litle research. Im ashamed to say that I have never taken the time to try and understand the zebras. 80% 100% etc. Ive always doen it by eye. And everyone know relying on the HVX's screens is stupid .
