Polarizer

Does anyone have any before and after screen shots using a polarizer? I shoot at high noon here and there and would like to see how much it makes the sky blue before i purchase them for my dvx's.

I have used polarizing filters for years; first on 35mm still cameras and 16mm film cameras, and more recently on my DVX100B. The difference in the images is dramatic. The skies are a much deeper blue (and clouds seem to leap out of the picture) and color saturation is phenomenal.

I heartily advise you to get one. With proper use and with sunlight at the right angle, you will be very pleased!

yes as paladin has explained they really do make the skys a darker shade of blue and the clouds almost look 3d ish with popping out of the shadows and highlights in them

if no one has any before -aftershots, i will try to get some the next nice day out
and record before putting on and as im turning the polarizer to show the difference it makes, maybe even a vimeo of it
i highly advise getting one though

okay just did one and am uploading it as i write this but i didnt change the fstop between the polarizer and not having one to show the light loss you get at first, but when i hold the filter infront of the lens i do shift the fstop to show how it looks with and without, if that makes sense

i dunno i did it quick so if youd like to see me do something else with it just ask

its done with the B+W Linear Top Polarizer and i got mine at b and h for 80 bucks i think

just finishing uploading, heres the link
