PMW EX1 and EX3 firmware download?

I found this pdf in the web page of sony, in the part of down says:
"The PMW-350 and PMW-EX1R will ship with firmware
compatibility for the MEAD-MS01. The PMWEX1
and PMW-EX3 can receive updated firmware
via Internet download, while the PMW-EX30 and
PMW-10MD will need returning to a Sony service
centre as they do not have a USB service port for
connecting with a PC. SBAC-US10 SxS Reader/
Writer is not compatible because the SBAC-US10
only has PCI Express interface and no USB
interface."
It`s going to be great to have the firmware update without having to take the camera to sony and pay 100us$!

The latest firmware update (for EX1, at least) has been available (unofficially) online for quite a while, and there are online instructions for DIY upgrades. It appears that Sony is merely making it "official".
 
I think you are talking about 1.11 for the EX1. 1.11 isn't actually the latest, its something like 1.14.xxxx Fortunately there really isn't much difference between 1.11 & those that have come later.
