Hi everyone,
I'm new to Avid, having made the switch from FCP recently for obvious reasons. Really enjoying working in MC so far, but one workflow issue that has cropped up is syncing my video to externally recorded audio using Plural Eyes, and then creating new clips with the synced footage. Plural Eyes works great, I can import the synced sequence and everything looks good.
In FCP, I would then trim off the edges so that I have matching lengths, delete the camera audio, move the external audio to A1 and A2, and then link the clips (lock the sync). Then drag to a bin to create a new subclip, from which I would edit.
There doesn't seem to me to be a very good correlation for this workflow in MC. I understand that I can load the new sequence into the Source window and then make subclips there, but I want to delete the camera audio, move the external audio up to A1 and A2 (from A3 and A4, while maintaining sync), and THENcreate my new subclips. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?
