Wow. That is pretty powerful. Kids are painfully honest.

My wife has been diligently looking for a job almost daily since she got laid off from HP 18 months ago. She has a third interview this Monday for a job at a non-profit. It's a salary cut from what she was making, but a big raise from what she currently makes. Keep your fingers crossed.

If you want to get cheered up, go to the free listings on Craigslist. Since before Thanksgiving there have been people on there everyday offering up food, trees, toys and all kinds of gifts for those in need. There are some kind souls out there who give from both their surplus and their own cupboards.

I was laid off at the end of July shortly before my Daughter was born. I had a good job as a Network Support Engineer. I am not complaining about it though. I decided that it was the time to become what I had always wanted and went to school for, a filmmaker. There is no way I am going to just sit and worry about it. I decided I am going to turn it around to my advantage and do what I always wanted to do. I have always believed you are in control of your own destiny. And I also think the meaning of Christmas will just be brought closer to the people instead of what it became, a greedy holiday. To me the meaning is a celebration of Jesus and a gathering of family to rejoice in life. It should never have become what it was. So I guess what may be bad for some is good for others. Just my thoughts on that.
