Please help!

I finally got my new DVX100a this week and I'm having trouble figuring out how to 'lock' the white balance so that it doesn't adjust as I movearound with the camera. I hate to admit it, but I'm use to Sony having a 'HOLD' position to lock white balance and exposure settings.

Can someone please walk me through the steps to do this?

Much Appreciated

Re: Please help!

Hi GhostPro,

There is a setting in the menus where you tell it what you want assigned to the White Balance controls. I have mine set so that in the middle position it's 'Auto White Balance.' The upper positon is set so that when the front WB button is held in, it 'locks' the current white balance, and the third (lower) position is for using the presets.

As for exposure, once you press the Iris button and go into manual exposure, it stays where you set it (at least until the wheel is accidently rotated.) Also, the shutter buttons inside the LCD door will keep the shutter locked until you change it.

And when you press the 'Auto' button, it forgets all that and goes on 'Fully Auto.'
