I did a shoot today with my dvx 100B and i braught the footage to the studio and noticed it has purple color where its suppose to be red. Can some one help me, is my chroma level to high, do i need to set some setting to get rid of that? thank you.

Did you color balance before shooting? Did you change the defaults?
Is you monitor calibrated? How does the camera LCD compare?
First calibrate your monitor as much as possible. Search the web for details.
Compare to your camera LCD just to see if it's reasonable.
For now bring in a test shot or two and try to color correct in your editing software.
In the future white balance and check at least the LCD. Ideally use a monitor when shooting. Do some basic chroma and color balance using the calibrated monitor if it's way off.

i did do a white balance, i did put the chorma level up, could that be it. the lcd does not show the purple only my tv.

Reds/blues/purples can be problematic in the NTSC environment. In addition to Jan's advice, you might try a different monitor.

The fact that your LCD has the correct color, and your "monitor" does not leads me to believe you're OK.

I did a shoot w/a purple background that appeared blue on a field monitor, though in the end, it turned out the way it was supposed to.

Relax, you should be ok.
