I don’t know if this is the right place to post this…I just got my DVX and unpacked it. But when I started examining it, I noticed a noise. It seems to be internal as if something inside is loose. Is this normal or could there be damage to my DVX during shipping?
The noise is a light noise (inside) as if a loose part is touching another part lightly when I point the DVX towards the ground and when I lift the DVX back up, the part stops touching the other internal part. Does this make sense? Does anyone relate to what I’m talking about? I was so happy to finally have this thing, I hate to ship it back and wait all over again:(

so it's not normal? The dvx is not supposed to make any sound? Not even when you carefully flip it and turn it around to check it? Please somebody reply!

You're not the first person to complain about this problem. Apparently the shipping package is not very good.
Was there any exterior damage to the box? Was it delivered by FedEx or UPS?
 
So does it make the noise when you tip it front to back or side to side?

I'd suggest using the SEARCH feature that is available to you in this forum and you will find others with the same issue.:thumbup:
 
From your description it sounds like the noise that OIS makes in its unpowered state. This noise is normal on all DVXs and is not indicative of a problem of any type. Don't worry and enjoy your new camera!

Cute…really cute…I really wasn’t feeling too good there for a moment. Thank you Sirius and Pookie for...er...replying (and for so obviously fighting the temptation to you know what). They used FedEx to ship it to me.

Oh... and can you fetch a sky hook from catering while ur at it... to level the dolly track, oh, and get the dolly stretcher as well :-)
