Please Help!!!

I am trying to edit a video. I pieced all of the clips together in FCP 6, then I exported each clip separately to AE so I could fiddle with them. I brought them back into FCP and now I cannot add any transitions. All I need is simple cross dissolves, and it will not allow me to put them there. There is plenty of room between clips (by plenty of room I mean seconds, not frames). What am I doing wrong? Please help!

It sounds like you don't have any handles on the clips for the dissolves. Try putting in and out points a few seconds before the beginning and ending of the clips you want to place cross dissolves on.

*edit* You might get a quicker response if your thread title is more appropriate, i.e. Can't Add Cross Dissolve It will also help others with the same problem that may try searching the database.
