So I was filming outdoors today with my HVX200. It was placed on what I realized after was a very hot surface. 15 minutes into shooting it just turned off. When I turned it on, the LCD had the color bars flipping, and the viewfinder's picture was just grey and black.
Shoot was cancelled.
I get home, let the camera cool and 20 minutes later I turn the camera on. Now, when it starts it goes directly to color bars, so I have to click on VCR mode and back to Record mode for there to be picture. The picture is fine now but a new problem emerged; Servo zoom zooms in very slowly by itself, with no control... just like on SNES when a dysfunctional controller moves all around without you touching it. Aside from that, everything seems to be okay.
The camera had a tripod connector on it, and was placed on the hardcover camera case. I'm very, very concerned and this could cost me my movie.
Suggestions?
