I am having some extreme problems with pixelated footage. I have tried different scene settings, and different setups on the camera - but nothing really helps unless I turned the detail waaaay down (-7 or -8).

Here is a sample of some footage to show you what I mean:

www.simon-carr.com/sunflower_small.mov

Here are the settings I used:

detail -4
chroma 0
chroma phase+3
color temp 0
master ped -5
iris level 0
gama - cine like
skin tone dtl - on
matrix - cine like
v detail - thin
progressive - off

Can anyone tell me what I can do to get rid of this pixelation??? please help me! :embarasse

Maybe a compression problem.

Maybe a compression problem.

Simon,

What video editor and compression program did you use? Most of the time, the footage I get is excellent, but I have to struggle to get clean footage onto DVD because of pixilation and other problems.

what does it look like before you render to .mov? if it's similar to this, you may have to send your dvx in to be repaired.
