Please Help with HC-X1000 SD Card

I have had the Panasonic HC-X1000 camera for over a year and never had any problems.
Amongst other things I have been filming Soccer and until recently been shooting the younger games that fit onto 1 64 gig card
No problem .
The older kids play longer and now I'm finding that the games are splitting into the second 64 gig card. Really not a problem but at the end of the day when I have shot several games its nicer to have each game on its on Card. So I purchased Lexar Professional . 95MB/s . 633x U3 SDXC 128GB.
On a 64 Gig card shooting 4K/60 150M- MOV (LPCM) I get around 52 minutes. With the 128Gig I get approx. 1H-52mins.
Today I shot for the first time with the 128 Gig card and at about the 50 minute mark which I am guessing is about the half Full (ish) 128 gig. the camera put up a message on the screen Something Like --- recording stopped and now writing---- I can't remember exactly but it would not allow me to return to recording. I managed to switch the camera off , While It was switching off flashed on the screen something about a record error. ( Sorry I didn't note these messages- I was panicking a bit to finish the game) I switched cards and finished the game on a new 128gig card ( same Stats) with no problem . There was only 5 mins left in the game at this point.
Now I am home it seems that I did not lose any of the video prior to the screen messages ( in my panic , I missed about 2 minutes)and I can not re-create the problem as I am writing , the camera is at home now recording continuously and without incident ( currently 30 minutes remaining- 1 hr 20 minutes recorded ) So further into the SD card than the incident at the game.
I checked both my new cards before shooting these games by recording on each until the respective cards were full with no problem. So it seems its possible.
When I shoot the games I do not record the whole game continuously. I button off each time the ball goes out of play and button back on as the play is about to restart. So typically the longest clips I have a no more than a couple of minutes. Looking over todays footage the longest continuous clip is 3minutes and 30 seconds.
If any one has some suggestions or advice or similar experience I would sure love some feedback.
Sorry for the long post but wanted to give you the most info possible
Cheers
Tony

I have a pair of Lexar Professional 64 GB 633x 95 MB/s SDXC U3 cards. I use a LX100, but get a similar error to yours – the camera stops recording 4k video, and the error is something like card speed isn’t high enough. I can then press record again and it will continue. At first I believe only one card gave errors, and only occasionally, but I believe that card got worse – to the point that it will give errors say 6-10 times over an hour of video. The other card also now gives errors but just perhaps 1 or 2 times over an hour of video. My best guess is that the memory chips on the card are defective (and becoming worse), and that when you are recording to one of the defective spots, you get the error.

I’m going to throw out the cards and get new ones. It is possible that I have counterfeit cards. I bought them from Adorama, but who knows. Or I just got a couple of duds – problems happen. Not sure if it is a coincidence that we both have the same card (just different capacity).

Hi Guys,

I bought a pair of Lexar 128GB U3 x1000 from B & H late last year, and both have failed completely and had to be replaced by Lexar.

Luckily it was after I had put them into a computer to remove files, (about a month apart from each other), and they both couldn't be seen or formatted by any camera or computer afterwards, so I didn't lose any footage, but it doesn't give you a lot of faith in them!

I have a pair of Lexar 256GB U3 x1000 cards that I use all the time and they have been fine!

No problems with Lexar replacing both 128GB cards, good service, but of course no reason was given for the failures.

Cheers,

Vaughan
