Please help with 24p

Hi. I'm sorry if this has been covered, i couldn't find it anywhere. My brother left for iraq yesterday, (he's in the army) and i filmed pretty much the entire day. i am putting something together for my parents. I have a brank new dvx100a, and was recording on 24p mode. now, when i'm trying to transfer from the dv tape to dvd, it won't playback. am i doing something wrong?? please help, this footage is very valuable to me.

It shoudl work fine. If you shot 24p (Scene Fiel F5 setting) then just import as normal video and burn to DVD.
Is the DV not playing back? What are you playing it back on?
Will the DVD playback?
What system do you have (editing software, DVD burner, etc)

thank you scott... i am with a video production company, but this is my first experience with the new camera... i'm almost ashamed to admit that the problem was a bad dvd... i recorded several seconds on a new dvd and it works fine, and looks unbelievable... i just overreacted because of the sentimental importance of the footage... thank you for your answer!!!
