Please help....RED X

The other day and then again today I got a blinking red X in the corner of my LCD. I'm sorry if this question has been asked before but I searched for red x and nothing came up. I looked in my operating instruction manual as well as my dvx book but have found nothing about this. This only happened twice but if I remember correctly the x is in a circle in the top left of the lcd. When I recorded with this blinking the footage came out scrambled. This first happened when I let one of my partners for a school project hold the camera....and he was recording some random stuff. Maybe this is a dumb question but hopefully you can give me an answer and get rid of my fears. Thanks

I think we've all done searches that didn't return the results we wanted, because we didn't use good search terms. But he did try; even if he didn't, you could put your response much more politely, Pookie. Hey, you could even apologize for being rude. Is there a reason we can't treat each poster with respect? And just for the record -- I don't have many posts here either, although I do a lot of reading on these boards. Does that make my opinion somehow less valid?

Thats just the way he is. Add him to your ignore list. Problem solved.

sorry, i couldnt find it in the manual so i didnt know it meant my heads were dirty therefore i couldnt search for that. I searched for red x and got nothing. Sorry to bother you with the question but thanks for the reply and the info. I'll search around to figure out how to solve the problem. Sorry again for asking a repeat question. Now I feel dumb for asking :(
