There are two transitions I have seen in a couple videos that I have been trying to do for myself but I think I might need a pluggin. Maybe someone can help?

The main one I want to know about is the one where one frame slides in and
pushes the other away but with a sideways ...or vertical movment blur and
lines so it looks very smooth. Here are some examples in this video:

at 50 seconds and 1:01 and 1:47.

The other one I was wondering about is also seen in that video where the highlights bloom out and glow and sometimes go blurry. I can actually do this using filters and starting with the effects at zero and then cranking them up right before the cut to the next clip. But does anyone know if this has a name or if I can get a pluggin?

Thanks guys. :dankk2:

It's called a blur wipe or a wind wipe. Too Much Too Soon has a great free one for download.

The other one you're looking for can be achieved with the additive dissolve. Or, try TMTS's Flashframe.

Another good set of free FCP plug-ins for filters and transitions is Luca.
