Please help. Live feed question for HVX, looking for advise.

Hey all, I hope y'all are doing well and I hope someone can offer some guidance here... I have a project I'm shooting next week for a client. He's requesting a live feed of a conference to their proprietary software for live streaming. I'm providing the feed via component out - their setup uses RCA inputs. Here's my dillema - he's requesting an SD output at 4:3 but would like the backup recorded in HD. I'm not sure if the HVX200 can do that? I've done "live" events before but never (i think) an SD delivery with and an HD capture to P2. Can the HVX200 do that? I'm posting this question in hopes that someone has some advise. My camera is currently in the shop getting the zoom servo fixed and i may not get it back in time to run test. PLEASE HELP!!! I'd appreciate any feedback or links that can shed some light. Thanks

Not sure on this, but you could try the composite out for the live feed (which is SD) and record to P2. Not at all sure about the aspect ratio. Your customer may need to compromise.

+1 Record to P2, and output to him out the composite ports via his RCA cable. That would be the simplest solution. I would shoot 720p30pn for this as the SD you are down-converting to is 480 60i if you are here in NTSC land. Set your framing markers for 4:3, frame for 4:3 while protecting 16:9, select "crop" on the down conversion mode in the AV settings, turn off external OSD, and you have all your bases covered.

It's in the menu....output options. I think you can output 4:3 SD and record HD to P2's. Remember that if you go 'native,' your sound will be in a separate folder. If this goes long, you're going to need either need some 64 gig cards or some kind of on-site system to dump and re-format hot-swapped cards.

You can out out sd while recording hd, but if you do that it will still output 16x9. It will only out put 4x3 if you are recording sd in 4x3 mode.
