Hey all,

I'm trying to figure out how to restore to the original firmware on my GH1 and can't seem to figure it out...

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Many thanks in advance.

You increment the firmware to 1.35 (which is higher than what you have), but check the first two boxes to reset the firmware version on the camera to 0.0

Then you can load your original firmware.

So load up GH1_132 and simply check the two boxes again?

No. With Ptool you have to generate a firmware version with the second option 'Don't compare firmware version' checked. When you load this firmware it will result in a firmware version 0.0 on your cam. When you then want to return to the original firmware - you can just load firmware 1.32 without going through Ptool again.

Sorry, I'm really confused on this. Are there step-by-step instructions on how to do this?

yes in the ptools for beginner faq sticky up top.

does your firmware read 0.0? if so just load up the original with prevent version compare checked and dont change any values. save it and your good to go. if you load original back on again you ahve to do version increments, whereas if you do it like this you still keep your firmware at 0.0
