Please forgive this DVDSP post that only somewhat involves the HPX500

Hi everyone,

So I posted this in the software forum and didn't get any replies. I'm hoping someone here has encountered this. I wouldn't normally post software in the HPX forum but my wife really wants our wedding DVD done and - well that's the problem--

So i have a SD DVD with a whole bunch of assets, slideshows, and menus. I'm using a DVDSP template and display of 16:9 (it's the wedding classical).

For some reason, and I've done this a hundred times, the transition between clicking the button and going to the asset turns WHITE. Happens for slideshows as well.
I picked one of the template transitions as well as a regular dissolve. In the slideshows the dissolves DVDSP puts in show up as white as well.

Anyone experience this?
 
No. But I have experienced flaky DVDSP transitions in the past.

Do they work in the simulator? Have you updated your DVDSP lately, or re-installed for that matter?

This would take a bit of work, but if push comes to shove you could build transitions as movie clips in FCP/Motion and go to them with no transition as if you were showing a short clip before you go where you clicked. This is often does for custom transitions.

Good luck, wish I could help more. Someone may have the answers out there.
 
Thanks for the reply. Simulator didn't work any better....but I burned the image to my hard drive and then it played fine...although now I'm getting a drive error....
