FS7: Please Execute APR

On the F55 you have to either execute APR or click cancel to make the message go away because it will never disappear on it's own like the FS7. Maybe that's why I rarely see it on the FS7 because normally by the time I look into the viewfinder that camera has already been warming up for a minute or two and the message has already come and gone.

Thats on my F5.. if I ignore it to goes away.. sometimes its actually too quick to go.. Im just about to press execute and its gone.. presumed the same as the Fs7.. strange that the F55 would be different..

What I find annoying is having assistants work with my camera and having to teach them to turn it on!

Here is the boot up routine of my FS7/502

Power On (wait a week)
Menu
Menu (kills APR warning)
SmallHD Power On (wait a week)
Kick right
Kick right
Kick right (brings a lutted screen up)

Here is the boot up routine of my BMCMicro/Ronin
Power Ronin (also boots camera)
Power Ronin Controller
Power Vlock Block
Power Monitor
Power Ronin Focus
Calibrate
Auto
Ok
OK
iphone Unlock (using my pin)
iphone start DJI app
app ATStability

That is 19 actions

Here is the boot up routine of my D600
Power On

It almost takes a day trining to teach someone how to turn my cameras on!

The more things you can power from one battery the better. I have FS7, XDCA, Odyssey, and Parallinx all powered from a single v-lock. One button to switch it all on.

My 502 and FS7 power from a single Vlock on the rear - hawkwoods - it doesnt have a switch.. also Im not that happy 'pulling' the power on the FS7 as it has a boot down routine, or certainly requires power for a short time after the stop button is depressed to correctly write the file to card - failure to boot down properly will at minimum mess your file numbering.

My BMM, Focus motor and ronin all run off the single ronin battery.

Wildly deviating topic, Im really happy to now be running nearly everything from BPU60s (EX1, Stripped FS7, Gh4,DP6,transvideo,BMM on HH rig) or Vlocks (rigged fs7/502,Dled) and to have purchased a four up BPU charger.

At least all my batteries now have a status button unlike the devils spawn that is the 5d battery and the old sony ones

But as Doug mentioned, I wouldn't ignore the APR warning as standard practice.. I only skip it if I know i have to shoot straight away.. or just take my time a bit till I know its gone :)
