Please check out our new short - Lettuce Break Bread

Just saw it.

Hmm, nice little film. It had it's strong points and it's weak ones. The acting was half half. Sometimes it was so-so (such as right at the beginning), but other times it was great.

I love the writing though. Clever, funny, well thought out. The beef I have with the script/editing is the pacing. Felt about, say, 1-2 minutes too long. I got the joke and it wasn't getting any funnier. It changed around a bit, with him trying to get her to swish the wine around, and the bit at the end with the food on his mouth, very clever. But it needs to be cut down a bit as you're working with only one main joke. One joke will get tiring fast.

The same applies to, say, making a parody of kung fu. It's funny at first, but unless there are jokes packed in, the parody of a kung fu will get tiring after a while.

The last shot has to be my least favorite. Not only did you break the 180 (it even confused me at first as to why they switched sides of the table), but the zoom out didn't work too well. It was too slow, too obvious that you're zooming out, and there wasn't anything to reveal by zooming out, just what we saw in the last shots.

Good job though for a 48 hour thing.

I was feeling awkward for the guy.
It feels a little long, but overall a good little short.
