Please be brutal!

Hi friends

After 15 days of fiddeling and figuring out my af100 in a closed room. Yesterday I got out and shot some footage. my very first af100 footage.
It was an overcast day. light was changing very fast. so i had to play often with nd filter and aperture .

Please be brutal in your comments . This is my classroom.

Here's my critique. Hope it helps. Quiet is spelled this way. Quite is used in the sense of "much" or "very". Such as "I am quite mad at you!"

For the footage, it seemed a little over exposed. The highlights were too blown out. What settings did you use? What lens(s)?

Thank you so much. With my eyes I could not judge the exposure. Should have used the zebra I think.
My settings were -
Detail -5
V- Detail -5
coring +2
Norm2
cine v

white balance 5.6k preset
iso 200

Lenses- lumix 14-140, tamron 17-50

There's some frame blending going on so check you had 180degree shutter or didn't blend it during the edit. A bit soft and over/underexposed overall.

Yes, the frame blending is the main thing I noticed. Never use your eyes for judging exposure. The zebras and waveform are the way to go.

In that situation, especially under a canopy of trees, I would manually white balance (and did you black balance first?)
And perhaps try Detail at -3 or -4.
Nice first time out- keep learning!

It is well worth learning to use the waveform monitor to judge exposure. The time spent learning to use this tool will be well worth it.
