Playing XDCAM.mov on PC media player or QT?

Wondering if any solutions have come along that will allow me to give my .mov files of 720p XDCAM footage to a client to view on their PC. I only have the transcoded .mov files (I know I know...). They are not tech savvy, and don't have any video apps. As you may know, when playing using Quicktime the files only play the audio.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks.

I just use vlc player to playback xdcam footage on pc, you can view it but it seems to crash if I try to fast forward the footage

Well VLC did play the video, but not the audio. QT plays the audio but not the video. I'm running XP on that machine. Ciencin, what OS are you running. Maybe my clients will have the same one. I've seen calibrated software Perrone, just trying to hot spend bucks...

Just tried playing back 720P EX3 footage on XP in VLC player and it played back ok (there was originally no audio when I shot it so cant comment if vlc plays audio).

Tried playing back the same files on Vista and it seems to play for a few seconds and then it crashes (but it might be my Vista laptop acting up as the hard drive is 95% full :/ Going to clean it up and try it again tomorrow though).

Well, this is a new development then. I've tried with an older version of VLC I believe and it didn't work. So maybe it works now. If so, that might save folks quite a bit of money. Curious as to the findings on this one...

Like I said, video plays, but no audio on my PC. I toggled through a lot of audio output options, but didn't get anything on XP. When anyone posts their results please include what OS you are running.

Don't you have XDCAM footage? I have an EX1.

I could skype you a short clip. Skype does large file transfers with no size limits. Got skype?
