Playback Thru TV Question

hi,
when i edited in premiere, i would have my camera on vcr mode, hooked up to the laptop with firewire, then an AV cable from the camera to my tv so i could see a better version of what i was editing.

how do i accomplish this in vegas because it doesnt work plug and play like vegas does

Go into Preferences>Preview device and make sure the device is set to "OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394/DV" in the drop-down.

Click the preview button (the monitor icon) above the preview screen. If it still doesn't work, switch out of VCR mode.

i like to do the same thing. right now there is an s-video to rca cable going from my video card to my tv.

by setting the preview device to my tv it works as a 2nd monitor. pretty cool.
