playback questions

Feel sure I'll get zapped again but am shooting at 24p and when I play it back in camera I don't get any sound or pictures. When I play it back in my little Canon all's well. Why?

Are you using brand new MQ or PQ tape? Have you had the playback heads professionally cleaned recently?
 
Hi Rush,

Yes, I've been using new MQ tape, nothing else. But, no, I haven't had it cleaned professionally yet. It hasn't been used that much (20hrs) and never as a rewinder. Have a small digital for that.
 
One more question, have you been putting tapes into the canon and back into the DVX? i/e, could dirt from the canon have gotten in the DVX somehow?
