Hi all, I've been using FCP for about 4 years now, and have never had such a problem. The problem I'm experiencing is such as this:
I am editing together a fan video for my school of a particular film. I ripped the film from DVD, then imported it as a Quicktime.mov file which I am using as a basis for editing in Final Cut. The problem I am having is when I play a clip in my timeline, it is somehow out of synch with the original capture in terms of frames. It's about a second or two "behind" what the actual clip is. This makes the clips uneditable because everytime I scrub through or try to cut up a piece, when I play it back, it's a second or two behind in time than what I just edited. Literally, if I press Prev. Frame or Next Frame, when I hit spacebar to begin playback, the image changes, and I get something simply out of synch with what I was editing frame by frame. Has anyone experienced anything like this? It has been really frustrating because I've been baffled as to what could be the problem. Thanks to anyone in advance for helping me out here.
