Hi there, i just borrowed the HPX 171 for the weekend. I shot everything in 1080p 25. I hooked the camera up to my mac with firewire and used FCP 6 log and transfer window to get the clips. I used the 1080i50 preset in FCP. When i played the clips back, they mostly played nicely but some of them not.
After a few seconds some of the clips would just not playback properly as if it would be too much for the mac. But that cannot be the case because other (even longer clips) played back just fine. I played them frame by frame and that works okay, so there are no frames missing, but i cannot play them back, even if i place them in the FCP timeline.
I connected the camera again and recaptured one clip that had problems. I didn´t change any settings in FCP. When i played back the recaptured clip everything was okay. Playback was smooth.
When i tried to playback the first version of that clip it didn´t play smoothly, although those two are essentially the same clips.
So is this a bug in FCP or a Problem with the cards? Or am i doing something wrong here?
Would be great if somebody knew how to avoid this problem. I am glad i dind´t format the cards bevore looking at the clips.
