Plans for 6 core Intel Xeon "Leaked"

Yup. Saving up for 12 core Mac Pro with stock Blue Ray burner (rumored to be announced Mac World 2009) and also a lot of people are speculating on Apple Final Cut Studio 3 to be announced at NAB 2009.

Is that before or after apple lets you put 64 GB of ram in the mac pro, and lets you run 32 displays?

ROFL. Yeah me too, and I'm getting a Scarlett, 10 grand or so in monitoring crap, FSC 3, Adobe PS CS4, let's see what else.. Heck I'm just going to rent Scarlett Johanson to walk around in a french maid outfit while I'm at it.

But my being way too poor to be in this game aside, a 12 core.. wow cool I guess. Too bad my 8 core won't even export into compressor directly from FCP without locking up so bad I have to hard power the MP off. Too bad Apple hasn't acknowledged this and it seems to be happening to others. Not that this is important or anything. Oh, yeah it is. Hey if anyone else has this problem let me know, seriously. My MP is new, and it's a major irritaion.

I´ve not even come close to thoroughly testing our new 8core, but posts like this scare the shi-at out of me...

I´m far from being an apple fan boy, the macs get the jobs done, but it seems I´ve missed the glamorous hardware days, now I encounter the same problems I was used to on the PC side...
 
I dont know what you guys are trippin/talkin about. If you look at the history of Apple product offering, New upgrades usually do not mean new higher prices. The new 12 core MP will likely cost the same as the current 8 core MP. They will just bump over the current lineup.

If you read more, you will find out that "Nehalem" has a significant advantage to help single core apps to utilize the remaining "sleeping cores". Also expect Blue ray burner to start showing up on MBP and certainty be stock standard with these new 12 core MP in 09.
 
Who was tripping over price increases? I was tripping about them getting their current shizzle to work before stepping up to another even more ridiculous level.
 
Wht to work ?? I have seen FCS2 working flawlessly on a G5, Intel MP and MBP. Most of the time, one just have to be cautious when dumping lots of unnecessary apps & video codecs into their "Main Editing Machine".
 
Exporting from FCP to compressor and getting shared Qmaster encoding for one.
