F55: PLAD-RW1 issues

We shot on the F55 this past weekend for a spot with a very quick deadline. I went to install the Sony Raw plugin for Premiere Pro CS6 (which is installed on the D drive), but when I try to install it, I get an error prompt "The plug-in cannot be installed. No Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 application or higher was found."

I called Sony, they didn't know the answer. They are looking into it, but I really need to find a way to make this work ASAP. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

This is a shot in the dark since I am a Mac person rather than PC person. Perhaps the installer was looking for an installed app on the C drive rather than the D drive. Is there any way to extract the components from the installer and then just manually move them where they are supposed to be? Perhaps Sony tech support could guide you through that.

I would perform an UNINSTALL of Premiere Pro and then perform an INSTALL to the DEFAULT location on the C Drive. You may find that your installer will not go automatically to the default location on C Drive, as I assume you have all your Adobe apps installed to the D Drive. If you haven't done a lot of tweaking to your Adobe apps with settings and 3rd party plugins I would consider an uninstall of your Adobe Suite and reinstall them into the default location on C Drive.

As Ned suggests, the Sony installer is most likely looking for your app in the default install location which would be on the C Drive.

Agreed with what others have said, install Adobe to C: and then try the plugin. Installation path options might not exist for the RAW plugin so likely it is hard coded to look for your Adobe folders on C:\
