Man, no kidding! I think that JVC's worked out the kinks and this little camera's getting a fair shake. Perhaps it's unfair, but the fact that the HVX is for all practical purposes unavailable has really hurt Panny (at least 4 now).

Rush, I'm sending you a email on this, but out of basic curiosity, how long does it take to recieve the battery coupon from JVC?

You told me to pester you after 10 days or so :)

jdv, we still haven't received any more coupons. Once you get one in your hands and send it in, it takes 6-8 weeks after that.

Matt, please call ahead to make sure they are in so that you are not wasting gasoline :)
 
Hey guys, sorry but, EVS cameras aren't coming when we expected. They won't ship until next wednesday, so we won't get them until the following week. Dunno what the holdup is...

I checked out the B&H site. That coupon is interesting, totally different from EVS's... I can't understand why. I will make some inquiries monday.

Man. This is a bummer. I was all set with EVS to get this camera and now it's not coming for a while. Ugh!

And what's up with B&H being closed on Saturdays? That's so odd.

I checked their website and didn't see the IDX promo link there, even though there's a link for some promotion on their site. Was anyone able to use that promotion with them? Have you received your battery/kit?

where it says the price on b&h for the hd100, below it theres a link saying rebate available. thats the idx kit promo.
 
Well,
I bit the bullet and ordered today from B&H. Although I didn't enjoy talking to them on the phone, they had what I needed and could get it to me this week for some testing I'm doing this coming weekend. If it ships out tomorrow, as promised, I'm all good.

Thanks for everyone's help here. I'm bummed I couldn't get this from EVS, but it seems they're not sure when they are coming in, and I've waited as long as I could, mostly due to waffling on my part on camera choices.

the guy there Dave Melbourne was super nice and helpful. I highy reccomend these guys. Didn't pay tax either as I'm in CA.
