FS7: PL & e-mount dance

From what I gather, once you go with a supported PL mount on your Fs7 you cannot easily switch back to the e-mount / e-mount to EF. You pretty much have to commit to PL and abandon the EF glass and e-mount glass. Is that the case?

I was considering obtaining an Angenieux DP zoom. But such a heavy lens would require a supported mount such as the one from Wooden Camera. And then I'd have to give up my Canon EF glass and Sony kit zoom. ( sure, it would still be possible to remove the WC PL mount but not practical during shooting, particularly not during Run & Gun style shooting. )

To anyone using the WC PL mount or similar supported PL adapter, did you just commit fully to PL glass?

I mostly use PL lenses with my FS7 but I often use e-mounts, Nikon, and Konica (for macro). It is no big deal at all to mix different lenses. The adapters are easily removed from the camera with or without the lens still attached.

The adapters I use only attach to the camera body and do not have rod support of their own. That is not where you need the support. I put my lens support at least mid-point on the lens itself where it will do the most good. I don't see any reason to have support under the adapter itself, but perhaps that practice by some people is what has given you the impression that changing lens adapters would be troublesome. The way I do it makes it easy and simple.

I've used the movcam/16x9 combo which is supported via movcam's baseplate. It's easily removable with a hex wrench.
Total swap time...about 3.5 minutes. So not as quick as a straight lens swap, but for the flexibility of the e-mount system, not bad.

I go between MTF PL with three PL lens options and Sony kit lens on every shoot. It is easy and fast. I do BB when I switches between glass which takes more time then switching the mount/lens options, but I feel it worth it each time.

So it will cut the edges as well as print.. but will it print 4K.. and how many PPs (prints per second).. less than 240 and its a total door stop ..
