Pixelated Capture on 2nd Camera

I just purchased the DVX 100B PAL and wanted to capture some sample footage from my old Panasonic NVGS 150 PAL. When it captured, I noticed it was a bit 'pixelated' throughout the whole capture and the playback.
I captured it a second time from the DVX and it was fine (That's an understatement - it really looked amazing)
I really wanted to do everything to save my heads so is there anything I can do to perform good captures on the small PAL camera I used to use? Does anyone know what causes it and any remedies?
Should I be worried about the heads so much?

Thanks in advance
Gary

SP tapes should play just perfect on all DV cameras, if you shot your tape with LP setting then it might not play on anything else than the camera it was shot with.

The normal lifetime of the heads is around 1500 hours, so using the DVX100 as a deck is not really a big deal or worry. Replacing the head assembly costs a few hundred bucks.

That does not mean I do not use my old TVR900 as a deck...

1500 hours of recording, not 1500 hours jerking the heads around with constant ff, rewind, and stop. I think you should be worried about the heads, popmadissa
