So the monitor should be set to VITC? Or is there a setting on the PIX that I am missing? All I have on my Panasonic monitor is either VITV or LTC on or off. I tried ALL the monitor settings and none work. When I plug the camera via SDI direct into the monitor the timecode works just fine set to LTC. Doe the PIX not have timecode follow audio and video via SDI?

Currently we read incoming SDI timecode. We do not currently output timecode via the SDI output connector but we do output via the timecode BNC or lemo connector.
having said that, I think outputting SDI timecode is a good feature request.

Timecode via the SDI would be a GREAT thing to have. Many times the client , director, producer etc. are viewing on a 17" Panasonic monitor and we need to see the timecode to mark shots.

PIX240 and 220 v1.05 firmware release is now available from our website:
http://www.sounddevices.com/

This version includes a number of important bug fixes including the start TC issue as well as a couple of new features.
