Pink Screen when I plug in SDI connector on 7Q

So I really love the 7Q, one of the best investments I've ever made. That being said lately I'm having an issue where about 40% of the time my screen will go pink and crazy and I need to reboot. Sometimes it happens if I knock the connector. Do I need to send this thing in to be repaired?

I haven't heard of this being any kind of known bug. I would suggest you contact Convergent Design's tech support. They're really helpful in troubleshooting and figuring out if you need to send it in for repair and whatnot.

Does it look like this? Not a connection issue for me at least. Its only happened twice and quickly solved by going to playback mode and back again.

Ill contact them, thanks for advice. I think it might be just a lose connection within the SDI 1 port. I've only ever really used that connection so it may just be over used and beat up. When I plug into the SDI B port right next to it I don't get an image at all. Is there a way I can make that my main plug in port until I have time to ship this thing. It's out making money to often to get rid of it at the moment.

Currently no, but you are not the first person to request this and we are looking into this for an upcoming firmware release.

I've seen this screen when I tried to send 4K RAW data to the 7Q, bafore purchasing and activating the odyssey RAW license. I'm not sure how this might relate to your issues, but my screen looked exactly like that.
