I posted a trailer for this project a while back and thought I should post the 22-minute pilot itself here since it's been online for a couple months now.

DESCRIPTION: Mark has had enough- he’s decided it’s time to turn his life around. Alternatively, his best friend Jason seems fairly content in his life despite being the most educated pizza maker in town. Jason’s fiancee Flora is beginning to wonder if getting engaged was the way to go.
BUDGET: $500, volunteer/non-professional crew. Borrowed locations.
TRAILER: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSCcGmNXUu0&hd=1
EQUIPMENT:
Two Canon Rebel T2is (with two 24-70mm 2.8 L canon lenses)
Zoom H4N, shotgun microphone
A couple of cheap $40 LED lights (only used in one scene), the rest of the project was naturally lit.

NOTES:
I wrote this pilot some time ago and was trying to secure funding from a Canadian production company here in Toronto to get it produced. Wasn't happening so I decided to pool whatever resources I had and just shoot it myself and this is what came out.
I'm pretty satisfied with the pilot, even though it's definitely a little rough around the edges with a little bit of iffy lighting, some stiff acting here and there and so on. That said, I think it generally does get across the vision I have for this series, which is the point after all.
I'm working right now on pitching the series to Canadian cable networks via either an established production company or an agency. Since the pilot's debut hasn't exactly set the world on fire, things have been moving slowly, but at the very least they've been moving forward slowly, which is better than not moving forward at all. I'll try to post updates here or on the blog on the website as I have them.
I know it's a bit long, but if you take the time to watch it I do appreciate it. If you find yourself enjoying it at all, a Facebook "Like" is appreciated as well. Thanks!
