Physics (weight/size)?

What are the physics of the HVX200? I couldn't find it anywhere. I tried a Canon XL2 this weekend which weights 3.7 KG and the DVX100 is about 1.7 KG. Any idea on how the HVX200 fits into the picture? I thought the XL2 was a bit heavy for fast on the move shots. I figure that the DVX100 would be nicer for that.

I can see the rough comparison on http://www.dvxuser.com/articles/HVX200/IMG_1741.JPG but do anyone have exact measurements?

Regards, Fredrik.

Starting with post 37 and going to post 59, this thread: http://www.dvxuser.com/V3/showthread.php?t=30262&page=4&pp=10 talks about the potential difficulties of handheld shooting with the HVX 200 compared to other cameras.

In a post on the same thread Mezelf27 said: It all remains to be seen, of course, but the preliminary data are: 3.1 kg (+/- 7 lbs?) for the HD100 and 3.7 kg for the HVX (+/- 1,5 lbs more!).

I guess if that's true (the 3.7 kg), it would be something like the XL2: seems fine, holds comfortably.... until you have to do that for half a day or so....
end quote.

If Mezelf27's info is right the camera would weigh over 8 lbs (more than double the DVX 100?) so I'm guessing the 3.7 kg figure is a mistake.

Will Jan Crittenden or someone else confirm this number or, if it’s not right, give us the right weight for the HVX 200?
