Question for those of you who use lots of photos in your projects:

I have to purchase some stock photos from iStockphoto.com for use in my Vegas Pro 8 project, and they have different size photos available for purchase.

What is the correct size photo I should purchase to get a good product in Vegas?
They're all different prices, so I just want to purchase the size that will look the best.

Thanks!

If you're doing little or no zooming into a picture, then 1440x960 (or whatever their closest size is) should be fine. That's twice the DV standard size and should allow for plenty of resolution.
Hope this helps.

Yup, ultra-hi-res will only help you if you need to do an enormous zoom or only need some small section of the pic

Keep in mind, though, that a hi-res photo may be too hi-res for good display on a TV screen -- there may be an enormous flicker. A vertical blur will help with this.

Interesting, I must try that next time I need to zoom in on a hi-res line drawing - they're notorious for flickering horribly during zooming or panning. Personally I've never had this problem with a static shot though.
