Photo Button on Remote

A friend wants me to take some pics of her. I was wondering, because the DVX stills look so good, if there was some way to use it as a still camera. I saw the "PHOTO" button on the remote, but I looked in the manual and I couldn't find what it's used for. Any suggesstions?

Personally I would just shoot a locked off sequence of her moving using 24p or pa at 1/500th shut speed and you will end up with some great stills simply by outputing selected frames.

The "photo" button doesn't do anything when used with the DVX. It's the same remote as used across their whole lineup of cameras, so on cameras that have a "photo" function that button will work, but on the DVX it does nothing.
