[FONT=&quot]Hi everyone.

I’m Amy, and work with Philips Cinema and Ridley Scott Associates on the Parallel Lines ‘Tell It Your Way’ film competition. The winner of the film making competition will receive a week’s work experience with Ridley Scott Associates, attend a film premiere, and win a Philips TV and home cinema package - so quite a once in a lifetime opportunity for budding filmmakers! Read on if you fancy your chances.

Five directors from Ridley Scott Associates have produced five stunning short films from the same six line script. The ‘Parallel Lines’ directors are now challenging fans to create the 6th film in the series. All you need to do is read the rules, interpret the script, and upload your finished film through the YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/philipscinema before August 8th. For more info see: Facebook.com/philipscinema. Good luck

Thanks!

Hi Amy,
those short films were mind blowingly good. Especially the Carl Rinsch one which was obviously big budget for a short.

I'm speechless.

I gotta say, I love the film examples;

But regarding the competition you guys can really do better; You want people to make high quality cinematic films with a 2.40 deliverable... And all they get if they win is a TV and 7 days unpaid work? Am I missing something?

Kind of a good point. Not only is this Ridley Scott who's a millionaire but it's Philips which is probably a billion+ dollar company and they expect us to make a short which costs thousands of bucks and give only unpaid internship and a TV? Well I guess you can ebay the TV and get some $ back. :cry:
