Phantom power?

I'm about to buy the at4073a kit which requires phantom power.

that means that it has to draw its electricity from an another source right?

so I can plug it into the dvx and I'll be fine right? I don't need to spend money on a mixer?

(I know mixer is preferred, but I prefer not to be completely broke)

The DVX will supply the proper phantom power (when you flip the switch under the LCD screen), so you can plug directly into it.

I just got this mic today, holy ****in **** its amazing!!! I highly recommend it to anyone. I did notice that in a room with echo it sounds some what metallic but that can be corrected.

bh took 3 days to process the order!! kind of ridiculous, and I paid for 2 day air through UPS, came on the third day. not really a fan of UPS, BH though has great deals as long as you don't expect newegg type service.
