[FS: General] Petroff Matte Box 4x4" w/ 77mm adapter

Selling a used but in good condition Petroff Matte box with a single 4x4 rotating stage. Comes with a 77mm adapter and top french flag. Matte box is a clamp on style, can be upgraded to use with rails. Was used on a EX1. Good shape, some light scuffing on the french flag where the wings spread out.

Hi, no problem shipping to California. I'm not sure where you can get the rail mount, but I would assume that a place like bhphotovideo or adorama would stock it no problem. Thanks,

You can get additional stages for it. It's modular.

I've used them before with an ARRI SR2 package. The flags are made out of a soft flexible plastic and the whole package is incredibly light. The one we were using had 3 stages but I removed two of them to make it smaller.

One big pain though is that it didn't seem to line up properly to the 85mm standard to lens axis. It was off by about 5mm which looked a little stupid. Also the bottom of the mattebox hangs lower than it's rails if you are using rods to long it will have be forced against them, which because of the softer plastic it warps a bit.

Overall, it was a nice mattebox, no full size Arri but more than good enough for S16mm production.
