Peter Jackson approved 48 hrs Film

Just a little bit of backhistory...a few weeks ago NZ had its third annual 48 hours film contest, where the goal is, as you might guess, to write, shoot and edit a short film in 48 hours. Well, we made the regional finals, but not the nationals....then we were told that Peter Jackson himself would be picking a wildcard to go into the national finals live on TV. He chose ours.

just watched it, funny stuff...hahaha.
i especially liked when 'dk' does the one armed pushups... and when he puts the 'bandana' on...

Hey HanSagan liked your film - I actually saw it on the night at the theatre. I especially liked how the Bodil slid back when punched in the fit scene. Very nice. If you see Liz again, say hi from Aaron Koolen - I used to do scene class with her. What group were you in? We were in group 10 - our movie sucked, but compared to some that were entered, we were filmmakers extrordinaire :)

that was funny stuff! I liked the frankness of the monkey's (d.k.?) voice and demeanor. He's obviously very serious about his lifestyle choice. You'd have to be in that line of work.

Your actress was a good sport!

Haha, that was some funny stuff man, the best bit when DK was like "Egad... my only weakness!" Hilarious! I noticed some dodgy cuts here and there, but hey, I don't think I could do what you managed to put together in such a short time! Well done :)
 
i'm impressed you made that in only 48 hrs. funny vid. loved the monkey, everyone likes monkeys.

also cool that jackson picked yours ;D
 
Nice work man. That's awesome with Peter Jackson. He probably saw similarities to his work on Kong, which is all about monkey lovin'. :)
