If they come out with a C-mount adapter for Pentax C-mount lenses :

Interesting.

Looks like Pentax have taken a whole different approach to the interchangeable lens bandwagon. It will be interesting to see if they try to keep the prices on all the lenses down - something which up until now has been a big deterrant of the m4/3 system.

I'm assuming those lenses listed above are all 35mm equivelant values? If so, it's a nice little bunch of lenses to kick start the system.

It's obviously not a DSLR competitor, but I think it would be quite popular with those people who just want a step up from their compact - I'd say this camera could compete quite well with cameras like the Canon G12 and Panasonic LX5.

so am i defeating the whole purpose of this camera format or am i thinking wishfully?

MY GOD THE CROP FACTOR!

So your 105 is what now? A telescope?

It is a rather adorable camera. I love the way it looks with the flash out, like a little robot holding his hand up to ask a question.

This camera is a joke geared toward nobody.
Check out the sensor size(1/2,3"), it's even smaller than high-end compact cameras. There's no aperture, focal plane or anything. Only two lenses come with built-in shutter. Other than those, it'll have to rely on sensor and the sensor is not even CCD but CMOS meaning global shutter is not there. How about battery life? 250 shots. I can only imagine how long it'll last when shooting video.
It's a interchanglbe lens point and shoot that costs $800. One would be far better off buying 2x, 3x,4x cheaper point and shoot cameras that offer hugh zoom ranges, all kind of neat features, and smaller in size.

I really don't understand how Pentax came up with this camera. Those who want quality will go for cameras with big sensors. Those who want quality but annoyed by their size will go for EVIL and m3/4 systems. Those who care more about size, price, and don't want to hassle with changing lenses will go for point and shoot cameras.

Pentax Q sits nowhere. It's a joke.
