pelican case advise

Another newbie here. I just got a dvx 100b and was wondering if anyone uses pelican cases? If so, what is a good size and model for camera, extra battery, charger, filters, extra lens or two, mics? This forum is really informative and this will probably be the start of a never ending dvx personalized class. Thanks

I use the Pelican 1600. It might seem at outset to be a bit large...but I get camera, shotgun mic, two lav mics, three batteries, dust guns, cords, misc. accessories all into it. Most importantly the 1600 gives enough cushion depth above and below my DVX

I have the Pelican 1500. I managed to fit securely my DVX100A, Rode NTG-1 mic, x4 5600 mAh batteries(2 under mic), a wide angle lens and ND filter.

I have the Pelican 1550, but have the camera sitting with the base down (assuming we consider vidwerk's camera to be "side down"). I keep my Rode NTG-2 attached to the DVX while it's in the case, and the case is just a bit too shallow (I had to cut a section in the top layer of the foam to accommodate the mic). Other than that, I get the battery, some tapes, some microphone cables, the charger, and a couple other small accessories in there no problem.
